In her former life, Rachel was an overachieving PhD candidate with an abundance of stress. Then, at 32, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and had to reconsider how she was living life. After years of being “too busy” for yoga, cancer forced her back onto the mat. She abandoned her stressful career, enrolled in yoga teacher training, and immersed herself fully into the joy of yoga. Rachel is especially passionate about using yoga for physical, spiritual, and psychological healing, using her own recovery to help others.
As a competitive triathlete, she specializes in yoga for athletes. She also offers therapeutic yoga for people living with cancer and chronic illnesses. Rachel’s goal is to help students build more resilient minds and bodies through yoga, leading to more resilient lives.
