Jessie’s life has been enriched by her discovery and dedication to yoga. Before taking her first class in an octagonal solarium with a glass ceiling, she was a competitive swimmer and rower, both sports that introduced the richness of commitment, pushing beyond boundaries, and rolling out of bed before dawn.
Jessie lives in Almonte but has found the community at Santosha Ottawa vital to her practice.
For her, yoga is essential to and inherently supports her life off-the-mat. Along with being a yoga teacher, Jessie is a mother, a writer, a college instructor, a walker, a paddler, a reader, and a terrible but good intentioned gardener. Happiness, grace, peace, and acceptance seem to be moving targets in day-to-day life but she has found that yoga is a way to reveal them again and again.
